Ariana and Alex Waters
Alex is our Director of Gathered Worship. In his role, Alex oversees the musical, liturgical, and technological instruments used in our Sunday gathering. Before City Chapel, he served as Musical Director and Worship Pastor with churches in Athens, GA and New York City. He is a music creator and educator, currently attending the Berklee College of Music. Alex is passionate about walking with Jesus on a daily basis, caring for Jesus’ people, studying Scripture, and living a life full of worship.
Ariana is our Pastor of Equipping. In addition to preaching in our Sunday gatherings, Ariana oversees Neighborhood Tables and leadership development at City Chapel. She is also a campus missionary with Intervarsity, serving previously in Athens, GA, and now in New York City. Ariana graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Psychology. She loves the Bible and inviting people into the story God is writing in their life. She is passionate about prayer, spiritual formation, and forming deep community. She brings her southern hospitality into all she does.
Alex and Ariana live in Bushwick, Brooklyn with their two cats, Joy and Tigran.
